🇳🇱 Zaandam: Make-up for Showgirls Workshop with Eve Fatale

Learn how to take your make-up from everyday to stage-ready glam make-up!

This workshop is perfect for everyone who graces the stage and faces the bright spotlights that can light you so beautifully but can also blast away all the hard work you’ve done on your make-up if you’re not careful!

Eve Fatale is an Amsterdam-based burlesque performer, drag queen and makeup artist, known for her glamorous aesthetic, theatrical performances and attention to detail. With years of experience creating makeup looks for the stage, Eve knows her way around a brush and can teach you all of the tips and tricks that it takes to stand out in the middle of the lights!

In this workshop, Eve Fatale will teach you all of the steps to achieve a polished look that reads beautifully under stage lights, while staying within your own skill level. We’ll cover everything from skin preparation and a long-lasting base to contouring, highlighting, eyeshadow, false lashes and a bold lip. You’ll learn how to enhance and exaggerate your own features while keeping your makeup glamorous, expressive and true to your personal style. We’ll also talk about choosing the right products, colours and textures for stage performance, as well as tips for making your makeup last through lights, heat and a full night of performing. Whether you’re new to stage makeup or looking to refine your existing routine, this workshop will give you practical techniques you can take straight to the stage and teach you how to paint for the back of the room!

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:

Bring:

• Moisturiser / primer

• Foundation or skin tint

• Concealer

• Setting powder

• Contour / bronzer

• Blush

• Highlighter

• Eyeshadow palette

• Eyeliner

• Mascara

• False lashes + lash glue

• Lip liner

• Lipstick or lip colour

• Makeup brushes

• Beauty sponge

• Brow products (pencil, pomade, gel, etc.)

• Cotton pads & cotton buds

• Setting spray

• Small mirror

• Optional: glitter, rhinestones, gems or other decorative elements you like to use in your performance makeup

In general, bring your make-up bag that you use yourself! If you don’t have everything on this list, not to worry! We will make sure to work with what you have, Eve will also bring some products of her own to share with the class if someone is missing something.

Clothes: Wear something that makes you happy. No dress-code for this class.

Language: The workshop is in English.

Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop, so you have enough time settle in. 

Entrance: The front door is always locked. The workshop assistant will open it just before class and close it again just after.

Parking: Free parking is available on the street. Guests (both cars and bicycles) are asked to park in the two parking spaces at Hellema (within the yellow and white gates).

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Min/max participants: 8/14

Event Cancellation: If the minimum number of participants isn't met by 48 h before the class, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the class. In this case, all registrations will be fully refunded.

If you need to cancel: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event are eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, refunds are not possible for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance.
