Classes

Not a bit. Plenty of our students start with having never taken a class in their life. Classes are open level, which means first-timers and seasoned burlesque lovers are equally welcome. We build the foundations step by step, so you'll always have something to sink your teeth into, whatever your starting point.

You're welcome to join if you're 18 or older. There's no upper limit so, if you are 18, 28, 38, 48, 58, 68, or if you would love to join at 108 you are welcome.

Clothes: Wear something you can move freely in, shorts and a top or a bodysuit are popular choices, but the most important thing is that you feel good in it. Shoes: For your feet, indoor heels or simply socks are both perfectly welcome; just make sure footwear is clean and won't mark the floor. Hydration: Bring a water bottle and, if you like, a notepad. Props: If special props needed (gloves etc), we'll let you know in the course description and always have a few spare props at hand for drop-ins.

Yes, wholeheartedly. Every body, shape, and gender is celebrated here (yes women, gender fluid people and men are welcome in class). That said, my classes tend to lean more on feminine-style burlesque art and movement, so that's the flavour of tease in different shades of expression (comedy, sensual, dramatic, sassy, etc) you'll be signing-up in my courses. If you are excited to try different flavour of burlesque (boylesque perhaps) then let me know and we can either book you a private coaching class or I can recommend other courses more suitable for you. Note: If you have any health conditions that limit your mobility or participation, please always let me know when you sign up, so I can prepare alternative moves and make sure you're comfortable.

The classes are fully clothed. We do explore the art of the reveal and play with props like gloves, boas, and fans depending on the course's theme, that cheeky sense of tease and playing and revealing with layers is the heart of burlesque, but it's all done fully dressed in classes. Everyone wears whatever feels most suitable and comfortable for them (usually top + leggings or shorts), and how much you ever choose to reveal or cover in class is always entirely your decision.

Only if you want to. We hold a winter and a summer students' showcase you're warmly invited to shine in, but they're a joyful option, never a requirement. Many people join purely for the fun, the movement, and the confidence.

Classes are taught in English. Maar iedereen is welkom, ook als Engels niet zo goede is. De bewegingen laat ik altijd voordoen, dus je kunt makkelijk meedoen.

Please arrive about 10 minutes before class so you have time to change and settle in. We will have signs that navigate you from the front door to the studio. Yes. Free street parking is available at the parking lot in front of the studio.

Drop-in classes: If you cancel more than 48 hours before class, you're eligible for a 75% refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance can't be refunded, as your spot has already been reserved.Courses: Booking a course reserves your place for the whole module and lets me plan the group and choreography around you, so course payments are non-refundable, and missed individual classes can't be refunded or credited unless medical absence.Medical absence: Your health always comes first. If a serious illness or injury keeps you away for three or more consecutive classes, this can be treated as a medical absence. With a doctor's note, we'll carry the value of your missed classes forward as prepayment toward your very next module rather than letting it go to waste.
