🇳🇱 Zaandam: Costume Making Workshop

Time to get crafty! In this hands-on session we'll turn a plain, ordinary bra into something that genuinely looks like a costume, and build a matching two-piece shimmy set to go with it.

I'll show you the simple techniques that make the biggest difference, the little tricks that separate "decorated bra" from "stage costume". You'll go home with a piece you made yourself and the know-how to do it all over again. No sewing background required, if you can hold a needle, you're in good hands. Bring a simple bra you don't mind transforming.

Costume Concept:

What we will be making is a quick build as 3 h is a very short time.

I'll show you how this can be done fast and also how and why something needs to be done slow and precisely. We will glue what we can and hand sew everything else. If you need more time you can always finish the detailing at home later.

Time: 13:00-16:00 (3 hours)* *if we get more than 10 sign-ups the class is extended 30 minutes

Place: East Side Dance Studio

Language: The workshop is in English.

Arrival: Please arrive 10 minutes before the workshop, so you have enough time settle in. 

Entrance: The front door is always locked. The workshop assistant will open it just before class and close it again just after.

Parking: Free parking is available on the street. Guests (both cars and bicycles) are asked to park in the two parking spaces at Hellema (within the yellow and white gates).

WHAT TO WEAR & BRING:

Bring:

• 1 simple solid Bra or Bikini Top. It needs to fit you + holds shape. No see through or full mesh/lace bras. Color: Red if you buy the "Red Set" ticket, Gold or Nude if you buy "Golden Set" ticket. Quality: can be old, used or new.

• Scissors

• Hot glue gun (if you have one, if not i'll have some to borrow).
  

Clothes: Wear comfortable clothes that are not too baggy, so we can try on the costume over your clothes.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Min/max participants: 5/14

Event Cancellation: If the minimum number of participants isn't met by 48 h before the class, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the class. In this case, all registrations will be fully refunded.

If you need to cancel: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event are eligible for a 50% refund. Unfortunately, refunds are not possible for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance.
